Our Kansas City and Nauvoo Trip

We had a great time on our trip! The first 4 days we were in Kanasa City. We were invited to a big party at Union Station. The whole complex was open just for the NACo Members. We had dinner, entertainment, dancing, fireworks, a science center, etc. The theme was Get Jazzed in Kansas City. They gave the men black hats and the women white beads to wear.

Wednesday morning the tour bus picked us up for our Church History tour. It was nonstop sightseeing and educational talks and explanations of the sights we were seeing. Our tour guide had tones of stories to tell us about other tours as well. We saw Independence where Zion will be built, Liberty Jail, Adam-Ondi-Ahman, Far West, Hannibal (hometown of Mark Twain), Quincy, Warsaw, Nauvoo, Carthage Jail, Garden Grove, Mt. Pisgah, and Winter Quarters. We road all the way across Missouri and then back all the way across Iowa, as well as spedning a couple of days in Nauvoo.
The Nauvoo Pageant was awesome! It is now directed by the old Children's Chorus teacher, Brad Thompson. He said to tell you all hi. He will be there for the next four summers I think.
We had a great time, but there is no place like home. It's good to be back. See you all soon at Bear Lake.
